gorgeous. i needed this. i absolutely love the message and principle here. especially the part where you mention there's no chance regularly sending cold outreaches doesn't change your life. also love the part where you mention they don't need to necessarily have an ask attached to it. so many cheers to this practice of, ultimately, courage and making our voices heard
This came on my feed at the perfect time. I’ve been building the foundations for my business and I’m finally ready to start selling. Thanks for the nudge of encouragement
Hi Tadzio, thanks for sharing this great issue. Usually, one thing I do is repost as much as possible the issues I appreciate here on Substack, I think it's very important to value the effort of the writers as much as possible and above all in some way to thank them for what they have achieved. However, I had never thought of contacting them via email. Thanks a lot for the inspiration!
LOVE THIS, you're so spot on. I've never regretted sending a cold email even when there's no response. I got excited by the Graham Weaver reference too (my camera roll is full of screenshots of the quotes he posts on ig)... perhaps a sign of who I should email next :-)
I was trying to come up with something valuable to say but couldn’t. I just want to thank you for writing this because it’s a reminder I needed (and thank Substack for recommending it to me haha). My first thought was I don’t know who to reach out to and why but yeah I’m sure there will be a list if I think harder!
you're already doing it — you commenting was an act of outbound. now i just default to reaching out to the maker any time i consume something of their's i enjoyed.
The lack of capitalisation in this article is causing me psychic damage but it has inspired me to do more cold comments/emails/DMs, so it’s probably worth the price.

so stoked it found you — here's to have our voices heard and opening the door to possibility.
really enjoyed this. i think we forget people appreciate validation as well, even if they dont need it!!
truuuuth
your post reminded me of graham weaver's talk, and your post inspired me to (re)connect with some folks in my network!
glad it connected with you!

methinks if this essay found you that is most definitely a sign of who to reach out to next
I send shoes. Your code will be in another comment. Thanks for the encouragement.
you've taken the game to another level my guy 🫡
Lovely read, thank you.
Now, how do I become the recipient of more cold emails?
i suspect doing cool shit, and doing it for a long time is the key.

Love the practical tips here - I wrote about a similar idea not long ago: https://open.substack.com/pub/rossblankenship/p/emailing-with-nobel-laureates?r=2lhb8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true
